 Should I Be Worried?

Ok, my 21" lil guy, hasn’t "gone to the bathroom" since we’ve gotten him, 1-4-05, and he’s eaten 2 fuzzies since then. (Yes, I know they should be eating something bigger than that, we only have 1 fuzzy left, then he’s moving up to bigger mice). Should I be worried?

Not to worry at all. I have some ball pythons that go months sometimes before going to the bathroom especially when in shed. They seem to like to wait until after they shed their skin to release a massive amount of crap. I think a little over 12 weeks was the longest I noted a ball python not going to the "bathroom". I was getting worried and had her x rayed and it looked fine. I was going to add a laxative to her food if she didnt go soon and she went the night I took her to the vet. No worries. I actually feel a bit silly for being worried myself but at the time it seemed abnormal. What I learned...snakes will do things we cant explain...unless its a seriouse health concern we are better off just relaxing and letting them just do what snakes do instead of what we want them to do.

No they can go several weeks without going! i would wait a while he will go when he needs to! if he hasn’t done it in the next couple of days Ive heard a soak in warm water might help but don’t hold me to that i don’t know myself if it helps or not

that does sometimes work...likely not necessary though and more mess than its worth...I used to do it when i was more beginning with snakes and over time found out their is not often need. Sometimes helpfull though.
