Bad Light?

Is light bad for their eyes? I went down there to check on him this morning, and he’s sitting out in the open, in the light. The tamps are all normal.

Nope light isnt bad for your snake. Of course, it is unecessary to use those UV bulbs they sell at the pet shops, and its also not a good idea to use conventional light bulbs placed right up on their tanks, because those dont provide the right heat. Of course, you said the temps are ok, so that’s good. Me personally, i have a daytime bulb i put on, specifically a basking bulb, Then at night i put an infrared bulb on, this lowers the temp a bit and also doesnt have bright white light shining on them during ’night’ hours. I suppose if you have light on your snake all the time like i do, use day and night time bulbs at the right time of the day. Hope this helps.
