New to bp’s if you are going to breed them later down the road it would be neccasary to separate them for some time. it is said to be that ball pythons have territorial debates among each other and causes some ball pythons stress when they want there own space. could result in bad eating habbits and other occurances. very rare though, i would say just keep them together for as long as you can get your hands on another cage. what size cage are you keeping them in?

New to bp’s I wouldnt...it makes things more difficult anyway so there is really no reason to. I responded to this a while ago. Try and find that thread.

New to bp’s "is it all right to house a male and a female bp together year round?"No. Too many problems can arise from doing such a thing. Stress issues, feeding issues, health issues, etc. I go by this rule: If you can afford another snake, you can afford another cage. Basically, each snake should have it’s own enclosure. As for the sex of a ball python affecting their personality, I don’t think so. Each snake has it’s own personality. Every snake is different.
