Any ideas If anyone can help here that’d be great. About a year ago I moved out of the house, and my new landlord wouldn’t let me take my then 4yr old female ball python. So I left her with my sis. I just got her back and my sis was not ready for her and no one told me. She’s slightly dehydrated, skinny, towards the back of her she had rubbed against her log hide to get shed off that she separated the skin from the muscle but didn’t rip it. In one spot farther up though she did rip it. I took her to the vet and he said that putting triple antibiotics(pain killer free) on would help the wound and I just had to stay consistent. That was about a week ago. She had been doing great, and I just soaked her about 20 mins ago. I took the hide out of her viv so she couldn’t rip the one wound open again, and all I have in is paper towels and her water bowl. I went to check on her and she rubbed against her water bowl and ripped open another spot. It’s not bleeding, just pure white. I can’t get ahold of the vet right now and I was wondering if anyone could help me with what I could do besides the triple antibiotics until I can get ahold of him?

Any ideas Finally got the vet on the phone, taking her in again tomorrow! He says he thinks it was because of the dehydration and he’s got stuff for me to do with her. But thank god he says she’ll be fine! It’s gonna take awhile but she’ll heal up fine. My heart has started beating again and came out of my throat, I was scared. :)

Any ideas you should keep her with you i dont think the landlord is in your house snooping around to notice it, especially if the snake is in your bedroom(and if he is invest in new locks, lol)

Any ideas Sorry to here about your issue.
Glad you are taking care of it!
Unfortunately, hiding the snake in a locked bedroom could be cause for eviction,
since the landlord already said the snake could not reside there.
When I moved to my apartment, it took me 6 weeks to convince my landlord.
He is Terrified of snakes... had him holding one by the end of the first day I moved in.
What I did was this...
I educated him about Ball Pythons, their temperament, and shyness,
and lack of agressiveness, then I signed a statement saying I would be
responsible for any actions caused by the possible escape of the snake (I have 2),
and assured him the enclosures were double locked.
Might be worth a try :o)
