The warm side should be 90-95, and the cool side should be 80-85. 75 is too low for a ball python.

Measure the temperatures from the inside of the hides. I bury my digital thermometer probes under the substrate so they lay right on the few layers of newspaper I have under the substrate. Gives me a nice belly temperature reading so I have a decent idea of what temperatures my snake gets when laying in her hides.

isn’t 95 a bit warm for a bp? Not sure just curious.

Nope. As long as they have a cool side that is around 10 degrees cooler so they can thermoregulate, it should be fine. I know several breeders that keep their temps at 94 and 84, and they say their bp’s thrive with that. I personally like to keep my temps just around the middle at 93 and 83.

One method that works every time. Touch the bottom of the cage with the back of your hand. If it feels more than just barely warm, it is too hot. If it feels cool, it isn’t quite hot enough. Having a thermometer is best but every once in a while we need to check the temps by a tried and true method. This has been working since we have been on this planet.
