my basilisk is 16 inch long from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail

i just wonder at what age or length for a male basilisk to show its crest and the casque on the head, any one of you guys know ......

my male is about 9 mths old and his crest is clearly visible, my female is about the same age and doesn’t have any sign of a crest. Pretty sure yours is female

well since no one knows for sure, females tend to b more aggresive than males & act more defensive.
Do you pick it up at all??
