ARE BASILISKS EASY TO KEEP????? Well to tell you the truth it actually depends they are like iguanas. they dont try to slap you with there tails but if they haven’t been handled they can be kinda agressive. I have one and have been bit 4x And i was bleeding every time. mine wasnt handled before i got it so i started ahndling it till he was okw ith me holding him. they take time and need to be handled often the temperature usually needs to be in the 80’s but they can survive in the 70’s fine they love to swim so little ponds for them are good. have fun!!!! hope i helped some

ARE BASILISKS EASY TO KEEP????? Hi, Health wise basilisks are fairly hardy little guys. My lizards here don’t get handled and these guys are probably the most skittish lizard that I own. More so than agamas or the smaller iggi’s. They would like a very large and taller enclosure along the lines of a water dragon. Which is likely the biggest issue to overcome. ~ Pat
