Need to know... Are basilisks calm/mellow lizards? Do they fare well with people holding them? How are they in comparison to say a bearded or a water dragon? I like the way they look...just don’t want a lizard that is overly aggressive

Need to know... If you get them as babies, some can turn out to be manageable. However most are still flighty and nervous. Handling them stresses them out more it would a bearded or water dragon. Beardeds are very docile and can be handled a lot - something you’re really never going to get with a basilisk.

Need to know... Basilisks are one of the few lizards out there that will continuously remind you they are still very much wild. No matter how often you hold them and no matter how docile they may already be, they are always going to react to you in some way. I dunno, being flighty and nervous just seems to be part of what they are.
