OT :: Kill a watt ! how much for electric BILL?
I was just really curious about something...for most of you guys who have 1,1230,32943249234,234.234234 reptiles/frogs/geckos and etc, how much of a difference do you see in your monthly electricity bill? How much do you pay for all your reptiles lights and heating lamps? For me, i’ll have 2 50 watt lamps for my WDTF and then the Reptisun 10 and basking for the beardy later in the summer... So my question is... how much will the cost of those lights be? Will it be a big $$$ eating through my parent’s bill? i was trying to find an online wattage bill converter.. it’d be great if you guys know any or know what my bill would be. hahah yeah you def have more pets than me.. mm i only have one WDTF right now, and will get a second one soon, so that i’ll be 2 lamps since i have to quarantine one. Then in the mid-summer, i’m getting my first beardy! So that’ll be 2 lights.. So i guess it wouldnt raise mine that much, considering you have way more pets than me and it went up bout 50$? mmm Okay i just dont want my parents to notice an increase in the bill.. haaha Yeah so its cool. I don’t pay the electric bill.. all i know is that when I had a beardie, 2 ball pythons, and a leopard gecko, the bill went up to $192. Partly because I used to use 2 100 watt CHEs 24/7 for my BP, now she is on a 60 (ish) watt UTH, so that will save some money. Also, I acquired a rainbow boa, so that adds some... hmm |

im from California, Bay area... so its a bit warmer here than compared to the places where some of you guys live... Wow 450? isnt that like a lot? i dont pay the bills or anything, but... WOw...errr... oh i’ll get the timer for suree, it just seems so much more convienent...i wont have to worry bout turning on and turning off and forgetting and stuff. |

I will be switching 3 tanks over to mercury vapor so that will bring it down some... Also, Im trying to down size (trying to get rid of the mali’s) and in doing that I wil be not using 3 tanks Jackie :) |

like WOASHHH guys. So many posts haha, no its cool, its funny to see you guys argue and have conversation an then realize that its my own post afterwards.
