 HELP Cosmo

Hi all
This is cosmos grammy. I went to work this morning about 8:30 and other than cosmo hasn’t had much of an appetite the last 2 days she seemed fine. I got a call from my son at about 2:30 and he said she was rolling like a crocodile and her beard was black. She wouldn’t lift her head and it is cocked to one side. I called Amy, My5thchild( Her Member name) Izzys’ Mom,she rushed over. We couldn’t get her to a herp vet but in light of how serious she was I took a chance with one who didn’t specialize in herps. She said something about her being dizzy possibly due to an infection in her ears or something more serious such as a brain tumor but she isn’t really sure. She started her on an antibiotic and a probiotic?? She said the antibiotic can and usually does cause diahrea so the other stuf helps with that. She said give her the night and cross our fingers. I just checked Cosmo and she is now opening both eyes and is moving some she is no longer rolling and is not black anymore,although I know she is not all better it seems like an improvemnet from earlier when I thought for sure she was going to die. I spoke with a friend in Missisippi who has a friend who is a herp vet and he said that although the vet I saw today is not a specialist she did the right thing. Has anyone else ever had or heard of this?
I am so scared. I will keep you all posted.

the only time I have heard of something kinda like that the Dragon had an exstream case of MBD

How do you suplement her?What about her uvb how old and what kind

UVB 5.0 brand new. calcium powder on crix. she is a rescue that up till now has been more or less doing great. she has no signs of mbd thank goodness.Amy and I just gave her the second dose of meds per vet instructions.she does seem better. she is so tired though. i will keep you posted.

thats good she is doing better but your UVB is WAY to low.Beardies need no less than a 10.0

I wanted a higher uvb but couldn’t find one so I actually use 2 seperate bulbs 1 is 5 and the other is a 2
I figured at least I had total of 7 anyway. she has tripled in size in 3 months though so I guess that I am at least doing something right.
