 OT: I MAY be getting a puppy tomorrow!!!!

Well, if you asked me 2 weeks ago when I would get my next dog, I would have told you "After the other two are no longer with me."

So, my partner Liz’s parents asked for a puppy for their anniversary next week. We started dutifully scouring the want ads, online trade sites, etc. We found them a puppy, a lab/shep X for $50 which they went and picked today....and then I saw them... Bassett/Aussie Shep X for $125. I have always wanted a bassett, but worried about health issues with their backs, ears, etc. I had my heart set on a boy, but they only have one little girl with the blue merle colouring left.

I did not want to have another pet right now, but I don’t think this opportunity will come up again!

Take a look at the little guys I fell in love with... AND TELL ME I’M NOT CRAZY, PLEASE!!!!

Ohhhh..they are so precious!!!!! I would have to take them all, I wouldn’t be able to pick which one I liked best. I would love another dog but...I have a Jack Russell Terrier.....enuf said LOL He takes up every bit of my time and attention that’s left when the kids and lizards are finished with me

Thanks guys!! I feel much better about it now.... She’s such a cutie. I’m going to make sure that she’s not too timid or too crazy before I commit, but I’m sure she’ll be fine.

Denise, I definitely think you’re crazy for having a jack russell! :) They are definitely a unique breed, and something that I would never be able to handle! I am a laid-back dog kinda person....I like to lounge and have a dog lying at my feet, and go for a walk to or three times a week....that’s the life ;)
