 Painting my dragons spikes?

Haha I know it sounds evil, but I really want to paint my dragons spikes around its head. Would this be safe for him?

I doubt it since the toxins from the paint could enter the skin. Why would you want to change the beautiful body God gave him?

Lol, actually... the water dragon I rescued not too long ago had red paint on the tip of his head spikes cause the lady I got him from let him run around her room when she was painting, and somehow he ended up with red tipped spikes on his head. It actually looked really cool against his bright green body. I don’t know if I would paint them purposely, but if you used a non-toxic water based paint... I don’t think it would hurt them. Just like people paint their fingernails... just don’t let it come in contact with their skin.

I know, but he would look even prettier!
and I doubt paint would be safe, but I was talking about nail polish.
I figured since breeders put nail polish on babies backs, it would be okay for their spikes

I treally don’t care what breeders do. I wouldn’t want those chemicals on my dragon’s spikes. I am sure yours looks beautiful without artificially coloring him.

if it sounds evil why even bother? I can’t recall her name but it was maybe a year ago when she posted what her hubby and his friend did to her dragon while they were having fun drinking, they took her nail polish and decided to paint the poor baby and thought it would be funny seeing her reaction well it wasn’t she tried to remove it, which didn’t come off and within a month or 2 I think because this was a while back her baby died, we all assume that eventually the toxins from the nail poish must have took affect of her baby because it was quite healthy before hand.

Why in the world would you do something like that? or even want to? Nail polish is toxic for them, I can’t even be around nail polish, let alone a beardie. Geeze...Leave the poor thing the way it is...

Lisa,

It was froglady or something like that. She just lost her little white dragon girl here a few months ago. She posted on General. Nancy will know who it is now, am sure.

Edel.

Ok, if my mind serves me correctly, it was Frog lady. But...Her dragon died suddenly and she didn’t know why. Then we found out she does peoples nails out of her home part time, now, my guess was it was the nail polish that killed it, although no one knows for sure, but it would most certainly kill a little beardie from prolonged exposure thats for sure....I believe this is the person you are thinking of Lisa...

Breeders don’t use nail polish to mark the babies, they use the non-toxic water based hobby paints.

okay I won’t do it. I just thought I would ask and make sure it was safe before trying it, but apparently everyone doesn’t think it is so I won’t risk it.
And I meant it would be evil because my dragon is a boy and not a girl.
