Sorry about another rat post but..I am SO attached to these guys, they are so loveable & friendly, and when they die, since they have such a short lifespan, I dont know where I will be able to get new Dumbos from.

Chance at 5 weeks old..they are 6 weeks now & have grown SO much in only one week..I have to take new pics

was asleep in his wheel..which is tied off so they dont get tails caught



4 story cage in excellent condition I found on CL for $25!! She paid $100 for it..she even delivered it to me lol..and the rats love it



I told Trish they have to come get the other 2 babies SOON because Im way too attached to them lol

i was lucky to these on Craigslist...only 3 Dumbo breeders in this state & theres a wating list. This woman gave me all 4 for $10...couldnt refuse..giving 2 to Trish

We have one little pet shop over an hour away and they don’t carry much..

Theyre so cute Dee... Dumbos are just the funny looking ears, right? Ive had a few hoodeds like that, and right now I have 3 albino dumbo girls in the rack. All of my blues died or got fed off accidently.... I get so tired of opening the bins and seeing a bunch of white rats. Its fun seeing the latest litter with hoodeds, creams, blues, etc...

I get Dumbos in all the time at the store I work at. As far as breeders go with good quality rats yes, they are hard to find. Very cute little babies though. Currently I am working on getting a hairless Dumbo.

the pet stores here never get them in so, i guess one day I will just have to be put on a waiting list.
I had a male & female hairless Dumbos a few yrs ago..the female was mean..she had babies & couldnt produce milk. I didnt breed them on purpose, she got out of her cage & got into his lol.
I just wish there were more Dumbos here, not sure why they are so hard to find.

Well Dee gets to keep all the Dumbos, daughter in law has decided it is not in her best interest to take on any more critters.
I got a litter of 11 rats and another preggy rat now.

As Trish said, her daughter in law isnt taking these baby dumbos so, I am keeping all 4, Im very attached to them. She just told me this today.

Im not sure where you live...Im in Florida, and like I said, there are only 3 Ratteries in this state that are listed online, & all have a waiting list, plus you have to fill out an application. I know ONE of them does ship, I dont think the other 2 do though. All I know is, they are very hard to find here also.

Dee lucked into these and even if you could find some for sale someplace, shipping would be way more expensive than the Dumbo, the shipping would make for 1 very expensive rat.
