R.I.P Miss Thorn I will miss you

It was a sad day today. I had to put my year old beardie to sleep today. She prolapsed again and the vet said that this will probably just keep happening so we decided to let her go than to watch her keep going through all that pain.

I am so sorry for your loss. RIP Miss Thorn.

Did they not offer a chance to take care of it surgically? I have a female, Bobbie Jo that prolapsed while laying her fifth clutch of eggs. My vet ended up surgically spaying her. She is doing fine and it has been over two years.

yes they did offer to do surgery on her again. But this was the second time she prolapsed her rectum and he said that she would probably keep doing this. And I just didn’t want to watch her in pain any more.
