 MVB? and my new baby

I will soon be adopting a new baby beardie. After what happened to Miss Thorn, I don’t want to see it happen with the new baby. I think my problem was keeping temps up. I was using a MVB and am wondering if I also should be doing something else? With just the MVB the temps were 95 in the basking spot and 85 on the cool side. Do i need to get a basking light and if so what kind?

Thanks for all your guys help and support
Joselyn

no she means an additional heat source not a uvb bulb

anyway i would get another fixture and put it alongside the mvb, you can use any houshold bulb it doesnt have to be those expensive "reptile lights" which are pretty much regular bulbs in special packaging

also reptiglo bulbs have been causing alot of problems and are not safe to use

Can you have too much UVA? I know you can have too much UVB but can not find any thin on too much UVA.

Nope, UVA is emmited by just about every other light source out there. It’s harmless to us and reptiles.
