 Beardie eating ??

my new beardie isn’t eating enough compared to my others. her temps are right and she has uvb. she is in a 20 long since she is only 7 inches. i bought one of those fake bonsi trees and a repti-hamock, and all she wants to do it lay around, somedaye she’ll eat alot others not. when my other dragon eats up to about 45-60 a day. she eats mabye 10 every other day

how long have you had her?

sometimes it can take them a few days to a few weeks to really settle in

every dragon is different some will eat right away and others take a while to come around

just to makes sure, which uvb do you have and what is the basking temp?

i’ve had it since the 3rd, its temps are 109, using reptisun 10.0, same as my other beardie, i give it baths, it doesn’t seem illl, is it just not hungry, it occasionly eats its greens. it kinda weird, I cant explain it, though she loves her new tree, and snatches crickets on it. i also know beardies aren’t the fastest lizards, but she doesn’t even try to chase them,she eats them when they come to her only, and she doesn’t do tongs

you havnt had it too long i would give it some more time before you start to worry

i would guess it is still settling in but you might try adding some additional insects to its diet for variety

where did you get it? what where they feeding? it might be used to being fed something else besides crickets that it likes better

are you offering food 2-3x a day?

yes, somtimes i leave crickets in there, why im going to do chores areound house, somthimes crickets stay in there 30 minutes at a time. got it at an expo, also she poops alot, so she has to be eating somthing
