 Beardie not eating/ staying hidden

I got Puff when he was 4 years old and he had a pretty bad case of MBD. He improved a lot and even got to a point where he could hold himself up normally part of the time. Anyways, he is now 6 years old and he has completely stopped eating and being himself. He hasn’t gotten out of the rock hide to bask in about a month or two, and at first I thought he was just hibernating since it is getting close to winter. So when I decided to take him out and feed him some roaches that he has never refused, he ate about 3 and I noticed his arms were a lot weaker than normal. When I put him back in his cage, I put him in his basking spot and he stayed there for a few minutes then headed straight back to his hiding spot.
The next time I tried to feed him, he wouldn’t eat and I have been trying since then ( a few weeks ago) and he wont eat anything. Is there any hope he is just hibernating or is he getting to be too old for a bearded dragon who was malnourished the first 4 years of life.
:(
Any information would be helpful!

i dont know much about brumation

but if they are brumating they shouldnt have any food in their stomachs so it doesnt rot b/c they cant digest while they are sleeping

hopefully someone will come on with more help

what kind of uvb lighting do you need and what suppliments do you offer?

Hey,

When was the last time you did a fecal?

It sounds like he may be brumating, but you want to make sure he is healthy before he sleeps. The fact that he is not using or having a hard time using his arms is a worrysome thought. Even if you wake them while brumating, they should still be able to move as normal.

If there is something wrong, you don’t want his little body to shut down into brumation. I would suggest getting him to a vet....make sure he is ok. Once you know he is fine, then let him sleep. He may sleep for a few weeks, a few days, or a few months.

He always has a bowl of greens in his tank at all times, and the supplements I use are calcium powder both with and without D3 and I also have a multivitamin powder I give to him occasionally. His UVB light is an 18 inch med zoo 10.0.
Should I just not feed him then? How long do i wait to feed him for?
And the vet is a big issue. There isn’t a vet that deals with reptiles anywhere near here whatsoever. I do job shadow at vet offices all the time and ask the owners if they could possibly do a fecal for me, so I might be able to get one of them to do it.
And would his arms being worse than usual just be from being under a rock and the UVB not reaching him?
