 Heat Light!

Can I use a regular household lightbulb to heat the tank up? or should i buy a regular reptile heat light? if so what kind, size and watt should I use?

it all depends on the type of tank you have, the size of the tank and your overall household temps.

Yes, you can use a regular household bulb, but dependent on make of it, you might find they dont last as long as the specific reptile spot bulbs do. But like I say, the wattage you use will depend on factors I stated above. I use a 100w bulb, I used to use a 60w, but now that its winter, the 60w didnt seem to be able to keep up, so I’ve had to swap with a 100w to keep the temps bumped through the winter. You’ll prob have to buy each wattage and just try until you get one that suits you.
