Can diff. lizards live in the same tank?

If your full question is can different lizards live in the same tank that all depends. One on the type, the temps for both, the eatting habbits for both, the habitat for both. Some lizards for example bearded dragons and uromastyx share simaler temps and eatting habbits and the temperments of both allow them able to share a living enviorment as long as the tank is the correct size for them to live happily. And size difference anything smaller than one should not share a tank they will get ate. Just a law of most if not all reptiles the smaller ones can be mistaken as food.

Uros require much higher temperatures, larger housing due to getting the prpoer heat gradient (4’x2’ floor plan is the minimum), and Uro are purely vegetarian. They do not eat insects contrary to popular belief. [BR] [BR]Plus they are from different continents with different bacteria/parasite loads that could be beneficial to one and harmful to the other.

I’ve kept Basilisks, Chinese Water Dragons, & Green Amevias(jungle runner) together for years. It depends on the enclosure size, your commitment to husbandry, research and approval from parents if living at home. I also have an enclosure with 4 Chinese water dragons, 1 Red-Foot tortoise and 2 Bufo Americanis Toads(insect population control [S31] ) . It can be done and I find it best to mix arboreal reptiles with terrestrial reptiles for the "tree climbers" hang out in the branches and the "ground dwellers" keep mostly to the ground. You MUST have multiple basking spots and plenty of branches and re-treats(hiding spots) for it to work and I would NOT attempt this in a enclosure smaller than 6’ft tall x 4’ft wide x 2’ft deep, Happy Herping [S3]

lol this coming from someone who said it’s okay to feed iguana bugs. Please do not mix species of reptiles into one tank it’s not good for them it will stress both of them out and no matter if they are from the same region they wouldn’t be happy being in a confined area with each other just like in the wild when they want they can get away from each other while in a cage they cannot. Above is a proven reptile owner no no.

Yes it is true and they can bite of limbs such as tails and fingers which is not good obviously. it’s best in both cases to keep them separated because 1. they will fight 2. one can bully the other and take it’s food 3. if bullied enough they will refuse to eat or become inactive 4. they can stress from having each other in the cage.

But good job I’m very oh so offended if this makes you feel better to read and get your rocks off trying to insult people over the internet hats off to you bud.

practically everyone in this post told you NOT to mix species of reptiles so I doubt anyone will say that any mix is okay if you listen to us or not is your choice.

a long tailed lizard would make a tasty snack for a bearded dragon [S13] pk, may want to leave multi-species set-ups to the advanced herper that dedicates ALOT more space than a 30gal aquarium to their reptiles [S2]

like rok said until you become a more experienced herper I would stick with just a bearded dragon and even if he is small he will try to take a nice bite out of him and the tank you have wouldn’t be adequate for two different species.
