 Burn from Infra red light

Just want to know .....
My 2 beardies are lying about 4cm under the infra red light and I am worried that they might get burned. It has been really cold here lately (looks like winter has come early and its going to be a cold one) and I expect that they are going to spend a lot more time under that light. They have a heating pad, but they prefer the light lately. Just worried about burns?!?

 Burn from Infra red light

Hi Jo....do you mean at night for the red light for heat? Make sure it’s far away from them so they can’t get burned. What about a higher wattage? What is the wattage of the red light. If it’s 100, purchase a 150 watt and put it out of their reach.
