This is so horrible. I can’t believe these girls had to pay a fine. This world is a horrible place when you are sued for being thoughtful! Although I do believe their reason for not attending a dance was lame when you encounter such things in every day life and school dance is a fairly innocent and safe environment, they were being very thoughtful in their actions. Fined for Cookies

OH man I have a lot of relatives who live in that area. That is just plain stupid. Granted knocking on doors at 10:30 at night is not too cool but other than that it was a very nice gesture by the two girls. I think the lady that sued over that has some major issues to deal with.

well blue it wasn’t a school dance so im sure there would be drinking, but what a terrible woman. she probably had a heart attack from being a #@%$ and decided to get some money outta it. good thing it didn’t work.

OK, well I read it again to Nick and seeing as it was in July I suppose it wasn’t a school function but still..... He pointed out that is so ridiculous that it could have been a pizza delivery boy at the wrong house lol I don’t know that they would deliver out in rural areas that late, but who knows.

That woman must have issues, who would get THAT freaked out by someone ringing their doorbell even at 10:30? If it were a thief, well, I guess he might ring the door bell to see if anyone answered but to sue some teenagers is just not right. Especially when it was seen that they were being nice. What goes around comes around.

Blue, tons of kids have parties at their houses. i’ve gone to a few, and there usually is drinking, drugies in the back yard, and spyked punch.

Thats dumb. Ok so think about it...there was a dance they were gonna go to (probably around 8:30 at night is when it started) well they decided not to, and couldn’t think of anything to do. SO they made a ton of cookies, and wrote individual notes to their neighbors, and decorated them. That would probably take about 2 hours...so by the time they got to her house it would have been 10:30. If you THINK everything makes sense, but evidentally that money hungry lady and the gullible judge dont have enough brains to think.
