Falling Hammock Jango’s hammock has fallen twice today. The first time it did I cleaned the glass with Windex and put it back, and it fell again. It’s been raining all day, so does that have anything to do with it? I hope Jango wasn’t on it when it fell or she would’ve been spooked. There’s no way she could’ve gotten hurt because it’s only about 6 inches from the floor of the tank. I just don’t want her to be afraid of it. lol! Do any of you have any ideas of what I can do to keep it from falling when it rains? Thank ya much! ~Courtney

Falling Hammock Well, there’s a change in pressure when it rains. I had the same problem with a suction cup on my window holding up a Halloween decoration. Every time it’d rain, it’d fall. I don’t think it was a coincidence. It has to be something with moisture or pressure. lol! I’m not science major. lol!

Falling Hammock Did you try wiping the suction cups themselves clean? I have a hard platic bridge with suction cups on one end in my Fire Bellied Toads’ tank, and it somtimes loses its suction. When that happens, I just wet the suction cups then wipe them completely dry and they work just fine...

Falling Hammock I forgot to do that! I’ll try it! Y’know, some members here have huge beardies that love their hammocks. How do you guys make ’em stick? lol!

Falling Hammock What i do when Dragus hammock falls is i lick my fingers and get the suction cup wet, then stick it to the glass...if that doesn’t work, then i run each of the suction cups under hot water (like it said on the package that i got) for a few minutes, then put it on...if that doesn’t work, try getting where you are going to put the suction cups on the tank walls wet and see if THAT works.
