I’m not sure, Shoobly, yesterday he kept trying to settle into his brumation spot but I put one of his lights right above him and kept dragging him out to play. He was annoyed:

Yup, I’m just gonna keep gettting him up when he tries to go back to sleep- it’s been 3 months. He’d better not be scoping the personal ads, I got Bailey to keep him company, and she is a little hussy- she was waving at him with BOTH arms yesterday!!!

It’s what adult dragons do in the winter- after they’re about a year old, they’ll take a nap for whatever period of time suits them. Grendel has been asleep since Thanksgiving! I wake him up on the weekends and make him eat a little, drink some water and take a poo, but he sleeps all week. It’s time for him to get UP! It’s good for them, it gets them prepared for breeding season (**whispering** it saves money on feeding them). I guess in warmer climates they don’t brumate as long, but it’s been a long, cold winter here and he just does not want to get up and stay up.
