I have just seen alot of pictures of tanks that have newspaper in the bottom rather than sand or bark chips and so i have changed Puffs tank to newspaper i have also added a rock to help keep her claws trim my problem is she keeps on trying to eat the rock and i am worried she will do herself harm. I have removed the rock until i find out if i have done the right thing. Also we put a backround picture of leaves and branches round her tank yesterday is that ok. I am new to this so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Dawnymac It’s great that you switched to newspaper. Both bark and sand are bad. How large is the rock? It may just be because it’s something new and she will get used to it. The background is a good idea, because it makes them feel more secure having some of the sides of a tank covered.
