 Eggs just started hatching!!!!

I have 8 eggs that one started hatching today. It’s not fully hatched right now, only his head is out from the egg and it’s been like that for about an hour now. My question is, about how long does it usually take for the eggs to hatch once they’ve started? Also, I’ve noticed that the eggs seem to have caved in some or deflated a little in the past 2 days, is this common right before they’re about to hatch? Thank you~

yes the caving inn is normal because the egg layers become thinner for the baby to hatch and once they start hatching the length of time can vary.. some can take a day some can take a few hours. i’ve gone to bed wiht only 2 starting to hatch wiht heads partly out and some just starting and woken up to about 4 fully hatched. and word of caution when ya go to open the incubator be ready to catch some do come running out their fast little stinkers hehe.. and they will try to bite because ya gotta figure their thie tiny new life and your this big hand coming to grab them. it doesn’t hurt though if they do bite its actualyl quite funny.. but just so ya know..congrats and good luck on all your new babies coming.

Thanks for the info. This one hatched last night and another one hatched today. Sure enough, he tried to jump right out of my hand just like you said. Still waiting on the other ones, but loving the experience! thanks again.

not sure if you know but it can take up to a week to a week and half for all of them to hatch i had almost all of mine hatch with the frist two clutches and for some reason the very last one took a week to hatch after the others on both clutches..
