 Dragons Den

Has anyone ever brought a dragon from Dragon’s Den? Cause we bought a snow giant there and I’m not sure if it is the place, or because it is a giant, or maybe just the dragon, but it is the meanest dragon ever. I have never had experience with a dragon lunging at my hand every time I go into the cage. We have tried everything- we have tried feeding him outside the tank, so he associates eating with being picked up, we have taken him out right after his lights go off so that he is more calm (which works then, but not the next day), we have tried to bond with him, but it’s hard when he just sits there with his mouth open ready to go... were getting ready to send him back- we just don’t know what to do any more- it’s been over a month. We bought two other dragons at the same time from Scales & Sapphire Dragon Ranch- and they are wonderful. The one from scales is still a little skiddish once in awhile, but he’ll let ya pick him up and never tries to bite... Anyone had an experience like this?

I had one that tried biting, just put your hand in the cage but not near it, do it just a couple times a day as to not cause it stress. let it get use to seeing your hand in its cage.(may take a few days to a few weeks)when he calms down when seeing your hand in the cage move it a little closer to him then eventually he should let you pet him. just be really patient and take babysteps. it sounds as though he may have never been associated with people. hope this helps. don’t give up on him. he just needs to build trust. good luck.

I’ve tried that, and nothing. I don’t know why... Also, at least once while doing it I make sure I am putting food into his bowl or changing his water... I’ll keep trying though.

We have had a few aggresive beardies. What my boyfriend does to get them to behave is every time they open their mouth at you or show their beard he takes his hand and simply shows it whos boss by closing its mouth and showing it that you are the stronger species. This has seemed to work.

I just bought Snow giants from them and they are the meanest little things I have ever seen. They are healthy but mean.

He bites before I can get my hand anywhere near the mouth, but I will try if I can... Yeah, Sean said he got one from there and it was mean, as well as it’s babies... so I definately will not be breeding it.

When wanting to breed, It’s good to have an agressive male because they show there dominant. And the Female’s will submit to him. I have one just like that, it take’s time also for him to adjust to his new environment. Well I hope everything work’s out for you, Good Luck

Actually the male we got from them is a sweetheart..

He never tries to bite, the female is at Bayous place, she bites. My male snow giant is 16 inches at 4.5 months old. The hypo orange pastel GG cross SDfire yellow golds are ferocious little things.

I just got 2 from him they are hypo snowxgiant 3 weeks ago and they are great. I got to go down there and pick them out but out of all of them (a couple hundred) I held a bunch and none of them seemed to be mean.
