 A little help please!

I bought vermeculite to put in with my female. They said to keep this stuff damp but it dries out real fast. I put it in a big square tupperware container. Am I doing this right? She started digging so I wanted to get it in there. I lost all 16 of her first babies because I wasn’t prepared. Could anyone that has had success with babies post a message from point A to Z for me. I want to get this right. Also do I just keep wetting the substrate and should the container with it be enclosed or is open ok? Thank you for any info available!

 A little help please!

This is was has worked for me twice. I used plain potting soil mix. I placed it in a large container such as a sweater box. I keep the lid on it after I have moistened it. When my female starts pushing against the cage and pacing in her cage i remove her. But before removing her i place a heat lamp over the soil to warm it up. Then i put her in the container and she starts digging away. This is what works for me. If have questions dont hesitate to ask. Hope this helps
