i have posted already but no replies my female is showing all signs of getting ready to lay eggs but i cant feel any in her belly we put her with our male about 4 and a bit weeks ago or maybe more she has put on weight and her belly is like jelly but cant feel any eggs and now she has stopped eating and all she wants to do is dig and prances up and down the fromt of the viv please help i am very confused.i have put a lay box in the viv and she has been digging in it like mad.

females can dig up to a week ahead of time before actually laying eggs. i’ve done this and it has been very recoomended to put your give yoru female a bath and run your fingers across her bely int he tub it helps to be able to feel the eggs. plus if you look at her sides and she is about to lay you usually can see eggs bulgding fomr the side..also like my female some are very picky about how moist the potting soil or whatever your using for her to dig in. last time i practically had to drentch the potting soil to get her to dig and finally lay. if it keeps caving in they will not lay their eggs. they’re rather picky about that. also not sure where int he viv you have the lay bin but when i did mine all 4 times i had had to take the lay bin out and put a screen top over it and put a basking light over one area of the dirt. they like the dirt to be warm as well.. hope this helps.. and good luck..
