Most females will go off their food almost 2 weeks pryor to layng eggs. This will vary from Dragon to dragon. A lot of dragons will brumate and not eat for days during this period also. If need be try giving her about a 20 min. soak in warm water to make sure she doesn’t get dehydrated. |

Yes, it is normal for them to not eat for a week and as JOANAVOKES said sometimes up to 2 weeks. Be patient...and dont drive yourself crazy on this! Believe me...I was the same way ...she will eat when she is ready, and she will lay when she is ready. |

| One of my females never stops eating...she is in the middle of laying eggs now, and she has just stopped to take a lunch break. As mentioned above some females will stop eating prior to laying eggs. Just make sure you are giving your dragon baths to keep her hydrated. Hydration is a very important. Keep us posted PE |

| hello, everyone has given you the proper info. just make sure you use supplements afterwards when she starts eating to help build her strength back up. I use flukers’s repta-calcium everyday and herptivite with beta carotene multivitamins twice a week. hope this helps. |

| There is one other thing you can do to make absolute sure she’s actually got eggs.....take her to the vet and ask them to X-ray her. Parasites can cause them to bloat like they’re gravid and can also make them want to dig like crazy. |
