Most females will go off their food almost 2 weeks pryor to layng eggs. This will vary from Dragon to dragon. A lot of dragons will brumate and not eat for days during this period also. If need be try giving her about a 20 min. soak in warm water to make sure she doesn’t get dehydrated.

Yes, it is normal for them to not eat for a week and as JOANAVOKES said sometimes up to 2 weeks. Be patient...and dont drive yourself crazy on this! Believe me...I was the same way ...she will eat when she is ready, and she will lay when she is ready.

Wait til you see how much she eats after she lays! It’ll make up for not eating now! Hehe!

One of my females never stops eating...she is in the middle of laying eggs now, and she has just stopped to take a lunch break. As mentioned above some females will stop eating prior to laying eggs. Just make sure you are giving your dragon baths to keep her hydrated. Hydration is a very important.

Keep us posted

hello, everyone has given you the proper info. just make sure you use supplements afterwards when she starts eating to help build her strength back up. I use flukers’s repta-calcium everyday and herptivite with beta carotene multivitamins twice a week. hope this helps.

There is one other thing you can do to make absolute sure she’s actually got eggs.....take her to the vet and ask them to X-ray her.

Parasites can cause them to bloat like they’re gravid and can also make them want to dig like crazy.
