 About Drift Wood !!!!!!

Sick of paying outrageous prices for Drift Wood? I was so I looked into places that use them. I found the best place and anyone can find it almost half as much as buying from a reptile site or store anywhere. That is if your wanting very clean dried out Drift Wood. Look up in your local phonebook the closest Taxidermy place. That’s what I did and I paid $30.00 for a big box full. Unlike a 8in. piece for $8-$10. I thougth of it one day and I have bought 3 more boxes just to sell and I sold it all if not used it. Hope this helps someone, helped me save. Plus you get some huge pieces also. You can see some in my pictures if you have time.

Hey Michael

Thanks for the tip...never thought about that. What made you think that a taxidermy would have that?

Thanks

 About Drift Wood !!!!!!

taxidermy shops use driftwood to mount small animals such as squirrels, they use it to mount some flying birds, and they use it to mount fish.
thats a good idea, i’ll have to call the taxidermy guy that we take animals to in arizona and see what he can come up with drift wood wise for me

 About Drift Wood !!!!!!

I came up with it when my buddy had a fish mounted and I asked how much and he said $3 an inch for the fish and like $4 for the wood and it was huge. So I called the guy at the place and I bought for $30 a box containing 7 pieces all bigger than the pet stores. They were all sand-blasted and cured. There easy to clean and dont absorb water when cleaning. I think it was the best discovery I have made yet LOL

Thanx, Hope this helps anyone
