77 days and no babies!!!  hi, thanks for reading this post. i was wondering what the longest incubation period you guys(and girls) have had to deal with was. i have had my eggs incubated for just over 11 weeks now and i am getting a little worried they still look great but havent started hatching. what gives??? thanks again for your help.

77 days and no babies!!!  What do you have the temperature set at? if its around 82 or so it may take a long time. Try turning it up a few degrees if you are very anxious but otherwise just keep waiting. I was very nervous about my first clutch and it only took 71 days. You can turn the temperature up to about 88 degrees w/o harming the embryos. Good Luck Rob

77 days and no babies!!!  Be extremely careful if you set your incubator at 88 that you have a very good thermostat. Most hovabators will fluctuate as much as 5 degrees depending on time of day and where it is located in your home. That’s the reason I recomend 83, because it leaves room on either end for thermostat irregularities. At 88 if it goes up 5 degrees you’re at 93 and extended times at this temp will cook your eggs. 77 days and no babies!!!  i have the temp set at 84 degrees and i use 2 thermometers to make sure the temp stays accurate. thatnks for the replies they set me at ease somewhat. i suppose i will take the wait and see approach. thanks again for the help!!
