You want the still air hovabator, sounds like the one you described. Babies incubate at 83 degrees. You can fit 4 sandwich containers with about 16 eggs each into 1 hovabator and the eggs incubate for about 60 days (give or take a couple weeks). I run 4 hovabators pretty much all the time and when i get slammed with eggs i fire up an old refrigerator that i converted years ago. Hope that helps.

lol, must have been typing at the same time. If you’ve only got the one girl then the 1 incubator should be fine. Yes she can refertalize and lay about every 30 days or so. I can usually fit 1 clutch into 1 or 2 sandwich containers (depends on size of clutch) and you’ve got room for 4 containers in there. So your first clutch should be hatching and opening up spots about the time you need them with the 3rd clutch being layed. If you want to be on the safe side, get another one just as a backup.

That page is just a bunch of links, if you’re talking about the link to big apple http://www.bigappleherp.com/Reptile_Supplies/Product/Hovabator_Incubator_THERMAL_AIR_Flow_Model_752106P.html

Hovabator only sells 2 models, the air flow model, and the turbo fan model. You want the air flow model, the turbo fan dries out eggs to quickly. $54 seems a bit pricey, if you’re not breeding untill next year I’d watch LLL and ReptileSupply, both of those guys regularly put hovabators on sale for like $35-$40. I picked mine up at the local feed store (they’re actually chicken incubators) on sale for like $20 a peice a while back.

1 would be the minimum, if you want to play it safe get 2. Ya, 18 in a row is a lot, it’s usually more like 4-5 and i’ve never had them go more than 9 months in a row. Plasic rubbermaid bins are fine for babies just make sure they are large enough that you can get all the conditions right for them (basking 110-115, cool end 85, UV light etc.). I move fresh hatchlings into another sandwich container with damp paper towells in the bottom and leave them in the incubator for 24 hours before moving them to their enclosures. I keep baby enclosures pretty simple, just a rock to bask on and that’s about it. You’ll need several baby enclosures, the fewer you put together the less chance of nips so set up as many as you can. 1 48" reptisun can provide UV for a few baby cages depending on what size you use but each will need their own basking light. If BlueEyes ever comes back around she’s got a great setup for babies (wish i would have saved the pic) for the small breeder. I’d show you a pic of my racks but it’s way more than the average person needs (I rack system them and can fit 50 cages to a rack).

keep your incubator at 83, it will fluctuate a bit but try to aim for that for a average

I checked and actually don’t have that pic on this computer, sorry must be on the one at work. I keep as few as possible to a cage, my highest grade animals get their own and i try not to go over 5 to a 10gal equivelant size cage.
