Hint for sexing babies I am attending the show in a few weeks to sell my babies, they are 6 weeks old now. I am having a hard time sexing them and dont want to look silly at the show. I can tell with adults. is there a trick of easy way with babies.

Hint for sexing babies i think it is very hard to sex young babies......but you could take it to the vet and have them draw blood or whatever they have to do and then they will do a test on them or somehting like that and they can tell what sex it is!! if you wanted to?brittney

Hint for sexing babies Sex them just like adults, it’s just smaller and harder to see. Males are definitely easier to tell and even the most experiences breeder can only tell with about 80% accuracy. Sean

Hint for sexing babies hold them facing away from you and lift the tail up about 90 degrees. You may have to gently twist side to side but look above the vent towards the base of the tail for a bump or 2. 1 bump right in the middle is female. 2 bumps with a divit in the middle is male. Totally flat can also be female or undeveloped male. Males are much easier to tell and you can be more accurate about sexing them, what looks like a female may be an underdeveloped male. Babies are kinda hard to tell but as they get bigger the differences become more apparent. Another way, but it doesn’t work real well on babies, is to check the femoral pores (a strip of dots on the underside of the thigh) males will have larger ones than females but on babys they’re all pretty small.
