How do you setup the vermiculite before incubation??
I use half vermiculite and half perl lite.I mist with warm water and mix until it starts to clump up.If you squeeze a handful and a tiny drop comes out then its perfect...Kirt

How do you setup the vermiculite before incubation?? I like using all vermiculite with pretty much the same process as above, but a little bit more water will drip out when a handfull is squeezed. Vermiculite is easier to check on and keeps humidity levels constant in my opinion. Rob

How do you setup the vermiculite before incubation?? I never clean the vermiculite. After the entire clutch is born I usually just throw out the old vermiculite and mix new stuff for a new clutch just so that I know the verm./water ratio is correct Rob

How do you setup the vermiculite before incubation?? I have heard some people say that temperature effects the sex, but I dont know if its true. I recommend incubating the eggs at around 83-86 degrees. The higher the temperature the faster the eggs will hatch. under 80 to 90 is usually ok.... but never go over 90 at all b/c it will fry your eggs, so play it safe! (use a electronic temp. guage) humidity is ok around 50%-85% Rob

How do you setup the vermiculite before incubation?? Do you know who you are breeding her with? One or more males? Your dragon is 2, so she will probably lay what maybe 4 clutches a year? Someone correct me if I am wrong. Wait, she will be 3 in a year, so does the clutch rate go up or down? Now I want to know! Anyways, I would play it safe and get two, just because she may lay again before your other eggs hatch.

How do you setup the vermiculite before incubation?? The first time I bred only 1 dragon. She will have plenty of eggs to fill that incubator, but you could have 2 females and still have enough space. I have to same hovabator and it works great for my leos and beardies. just shoot for around 75% humidity, it will vary ever time u incubate. Mine is at 70% right now and the eggs are doing great. hope this helps Rob

How do you setup the vermiculite before incubation?? one breeding can be enough to have fertile clutches for the entire season but I would breed her a few times just to make sure every clutch is fertile Rob
