Gravid female housed with male

my female beardie is gravid and due to lay eggs any day. she is restless and digging, but seems fine. she’s been housed with the male who is fairly small and not bothering her, but i’m concerned i need to take him out. problem is, every time i take him out of the enclosure, she climbs the front of the door and hangs there until i put him back. what to do? help

I think that leaving them together is fine as long as he is not picking on her. The only reason I would take him out would be if he was trying to breed w/her and bite her neck (may be stressful). Sounds like she feels secure with him in there.

Is the lay box suitable? u may want to put her in something else to lay the eggs
