Here are Trinity’s 2 babies. They are about 2 weeks old. Can anyone tell us when we should start treating them for parasites and a good website to purchase the supplies from? Here is baby #1:

Trinity’s 2 babies They are soooo cute! Can you give them Parazap yet? Have you had a fecal test? Just wondering if you should medicate them unless you know they have parasites.

Trinity’s 2 babies #1 is looking good. #2 i’m not so sure about, maybe he’s just cold or doesn’t like the camera but i’d keep an eye on him. I don’t know that i would worry about treating for parasites unless you know somethings wrong, alot of treatments can cause other problems that you really don’t want to deal with in babies *dehydration*. Parazap is a milder one and used mainly as a preventative but even that i don’t give babies unless they show signs of being sick, but i know people who’ve started them on it from day 1 so i think it’s safe. Trinity’s 2 babies Here is baby #2 again...sleeping. We only ask about treating them for hookworm because Trinity had hookworm when she laid the eggs and she died shortly after laying the eggs due to hookworm (we still think she was overdosed from the vet...but anyways). We were told by another vet that if the mother had hookworms that it will be passed onto the babies and that they will need to be treated. Do you think it is too early to do a feces exam for them? We just don’t want another vet to treat our animals for hookworm, we would like to do it ourselves if in case the babies do have hookworms. Also, does anyone know of any websites that you can buy the feces exam and Parazap so you can do it yourself? Sorry for the long explanation and questions, this is our first time with babies and we want the best for these babies. Thanks again for everyone’s help.

Here is another picture of baby #1 earlier today wanting out.

Trinity’s 2 babies He is awefully dark in the picture where he is sleeping. I agree to keep an eye on him/her. I don’t give meds until they are at least 10 grams. You can get parazap at parazap.com. Schnebbles gave me a link to a place to buy everything you need to do fecals yourself, but I can’t find it so maybe if you message her she can give it to you.

Trinity’s 2 babies As for the dark one, right when he was born he was like that. Since then he goes from light to dark every once in a while so we thought it was his color. Do you think it is because he is cold, or possibly could it be from parasites.

Trinity’s 2 babies I would get a fecal sample from both and bring it to the vet. Hard to tell just by their color if they are sick, although that can be a sign of illness, but like heart said, could be just cold also, or maybe stress.
