 How can i get them to breed

hi tonight i put my dragons together for the first time they have seen each other before and my female is very protective over her tank so i put them in my males and they didnt do anything so i put them on my carpet and a bit of headbobing took place then my male started licking my females head alot then he tryed to get into my females tank but my female tryed to nip his tail so i seperated them.

can any of you sugest a way to get them to do the deed please

Try positioning their tanks in a way that they can see each other all the time to get more used to the sight of each other, or put a partition in the tank. If that isn’t possible, you may just have to put them together and let them sort out their differences on their own. That sounds bad but BD’s are pretty much solitary in nature and it will take a few days for them to deal with it.
I just had to put mine together and let them fight it out, for lack of a better term. There was a little blood drawn, no permanent damage, but they healed up without much care.
Mating looks like a very violent episode so don’t be alarmed, there is not much damage being done and they have been doing it that way for millions of years without us.

Put the female in front of the males cage, not in it. That should get him into the mood. He’ll get frustrated and want to breed with her more.
