Intentional Breeding I am thinking of putting my Leo & Lucy together on purpose !!!! Any advice...Sean, what do you consider too rough ??? As you know...I have never intentionally bred...I am a little hesitant....a little scared.....I know to put them together a week then apart...but with Leo I really think he will go for it immediately...dum question I guess...Any direction from you would be awesome !!! Intentional Breeding I guess too rough would be something that would require medical treatment. Not just a scratch/cut - bite mark - scale cut on his willy - etc. but more like something that would need stitches - missing/dangling limb - things are falling out of the wound - etc...
The second round together is probably overkill, for that matter the whole week thing is probably overkill, it’s just extra insurance that the job gets done and she packs away as much viable sperm as possible.

Intentional Breeding Oh !!! Sean...Missing/Dangling Limbs and guts poring out is just so.....scary !!!! I guess I will sit and watch and hope I don’t end up with any missing fingers, etc !!! Leo is so aggressive anyway and I guess I will put on some gloves and hope for the best !!!! Thanks for your straightforwardness with no "Sugar Coating" LOL. I will let you know when I get enough gumption to do it-if I do....Thanks Beth

Intentional Breeding Since I think it will be pretty quick without the need for days in, and days out, should I remove the cage accessories? The furniture,,,this may be the dumbest question I have ever asked on this forum..being a girl...I am afraid for my girl...Haven’t decided yet !! B

Intentional Breeding Your girl’s the more dangerous one, just like in real life lol. Minor injuries are more common on the girls but the major ones are usually on the boys. If the cage is real crowded you may want to simplify it a bit so they have room to circle each other. Some will do it right on the livingroom floor if you want to try that method, others don’t like to be watched.

Intentional Breeding Heartmountain, that’s called: Wham-Bam-Thank you Ma’am! Your right, they really do not need a whole week together. Mine were left together for all of 5 minutes, by accident and sure enough she laid lots and lots of eggs. But they are beautiful babies. LOL

Intentional Breeding Oh just realized Sean That you said the gal is the more dangerous one...I have to beg to differ on that one...hope my Lucy has it in her to take no bs. I have to say being in the nightclub business. Most of my bouncers say they would much rather break up a guy fight than a girl fight, lol. Girls know no limits !! Thanks Sean & Char....I will expect to do this next week....Let you know. B

Intentional Breeding I have gotten some pretty nasty injuries on a couple of my dragons. My Kronos got his side bitten pretty bad. It is healed now, but his color is off in the bite area. I also have a female (Mojave) that got bitten on the back and literally had a chunk torn off. She is healed too, but pretty scarred up. Luckily both injuries were just cosmetic. And go figure...my largest male Sydney is quite the gentleman, and has never injured one of my girls. But one of my girls bit his toe and drew blood.
