 Is it ok to use a lightbulb for the heat

instead of useing water in the bottem and a tank heater ,can i use a light on top of the egg container in the incubator and still use a lil water in the bottem? ,if it only reaches 83?

Lightbulbs tend to be too drying and it’s a constant battle to keep the humidity right. Light also penetrates the eggshells and stresses out the embryos. In nature those eggs would be buried and the embryos would develop in darkness. Embryos exposed to too much light often develop irregular heartbeats and that can be fatal.
