I dont think I have said anything on this before and im awake 3am so :P

Record and save every aspect of your breeding activity that you can. It can really help you keep track of all your eggs for one and gives you data to fall back on when something changes. I record copulation dates if i know them and see it happen, if not i note the entire time male and female together and any injuries for future refrence like if the male gets too aggressive after 2 days and they have mated i wont leave the female in for any longer then that and watch them like a hawk. Then i do weights once a week, if a female is ready to lay i get a weight just before she lays and right after, then the lay date, clutch size, and how many damaged eggs. Ill note along the way if i pull dead eggs from the incubator. From the first hatch I then do the date and how many hatched that day and so on until they all hatch. list any that die during hatching and up to the first month especially watching the babies get through the first shed. But thats how we watch our hatch rates and keep track. it aint perfect but it works lol :D -Jay

Thanks Jay,I have kept a record of the hatchlings,I put a dab of different colour nail polish on tail as they hatched and wrote down time and date they were born,It looks like 15 of my eggs won,t hatch, but I will leave them in incubator longer. They have shriveled up and gone hard around the babies, the eggs are now the shape of the babies. The babies that have hatched have not eaten yet.I have tried greens but they just sit on it and when I tried crickets they seemed afraid of them. The cricket were very small so is this normal.Barbara

at first yeah they can act afraid of them but it shouldn’t last long. it sounds like the remaining eggs are drying out to be honest. You could try to peel the shell carefully off of one and see whats going on inside. Ive opened plenty of eggs over the years and learned a lot about the development in the egg. -Jay
