Vermiculite ???? Ok. I would use just packed, damp playsand from like lowes. its by the bag cement. use the vermiculite dampened but not soaked for the eggs in a container, inside the incubator. Our small lay box is a 58 quart bin with the sand packed down in a slope. For the incubator. No you cannot use the kind that rotates. any tipping rolling motion will kill the embryos. search for LLL reptile they have incubators the still air kind. thats all you need and its cheaper then $60 bucks. When you dig the eggs up after she has laid and buried them you must be careful not to roll or rotate the eggs when placing them into whatever container you use inside the incubator. Hope this helps. -Jay

Vermiculite ???? I have used just vermiculite, sand and vermiculite, and just sand. Personally I like just the sand. The dragons like to try to eat the vermiculite. For our tubs it takes almost 2 50lb bags. Make sure its damp and pack it down into a shallow side about 8-10" deep sloping up to make the deep end as deep as you want. Ours is about 18" deep on the deep side. -Jay

Vermiculite ????
What happens if you dont have vermiculite? I live in WA and my Lowes didnt carry it. My beardie just layed 22 eggs. I removed them and put them in play sand moistened. I know it wont hold its moisture. Is it a waste to even try? We just aqcuired them last month so still new to this all.
We are trying and any help is greatly apprecaited! I dont want the eggs to go to waste...
