 I meesed up!?!?! please answer...

OK.. so we have a surge protector we had everything for the cage on.. including the incubator.. well last night, instead of just switching each light off I turned the whole thing off.. since Jackie decided to fall alseep on the heating pad.. ( an under the tank heater). So I turned it all off so she could cool down properly.. well I didnt realise till this AM that the incubator had, as well, been turned off all night..

Did I kill them?!!? Are my embryos no good.. :-(( It was at 68 degrees when we woke up and realized what happened.. How in the world can I screw up so bad.. :-(( I just want to cry..Please give me a glimmer of hope..

Hi much the same thing happened to mine,our electricity went off during the night and I never realized till the next morning,but my eggs hatched ok.It took a bit longer than usual,it was 73 days so I don,t know if that had anything to do with it.My temperature has also been very high due to children turning the temperature button,so maybe I,m wrong but I think the eggs are tougher than we think.Barbara

Thank you so much.. I just needed a glimmer of hope.. mine stays pretty stable.. even thought I have heard pretty bad stories of hovabators.. it seems to do the trick.. I think it is mostly operator error.. at least on my end haha

hi, my stat broke over night so had to get another one but the place were i could get it replaced was shut lucky i got hold of the guy, i had 2 batches of eggs in the incubator the first batch took 10 wks to hatch. its the tenth week now for the second batch. 6 out of nine hatched out the first lot- steve
