Shipping? You can ship any size beardie, they are relatively easy to ship. You need a box that they can comfortably fit in, they can curl a little but not too much. You need to line the box on all 6 sides with 1/2 to 3/4 inch styrofoam (I use the blue or pink stuff they insulate the outside of houses with. Put the lizard in a body sized cloth bag and tie the top shut. Fill the bottom half inside with shredded paper, and add the bag of lizard, put more shredded paper on top of the bag. You can add one of those 12 hour hand warmers at the bottom of the box but you only need it if the temp is going to drop below 60 at night. Watch the weather reports for your area AND where you’re shipping to, if it’s going to be too cold, you need to wait or add a heat pack. I don’t recommend shipping if there’s going to be any kind of storm, wait till it’s clear in both places. You HAVE to ship over night, delivered by 10 am the next day, I usually drop mine off right before last pickup (6 Pm in my area) so they aren’t sitting in a box all day long. I ship through UPS, you don’t have to pre qualify through them like you do through fedex. You will have to take it to the UPS hub, live reptiles can’t be dropped off at one of the little stores, so call a UPS place and ask them where their hub is. Make sure you write on all sides of the box "live harmless reptile". The people at UPS may argue with you and say they don’t take live animals, be firm that you know they do, tell them to call someone and verify if they need to, but you are 100% positive they ship them. And make sure you have the phone number of the person you’re shipping it to. UPS needs this in case the carrier can’t find their house.
