 BABIES!!!!!

Hey there ! Congrats...if you have the room put each baby in a plastic container with holes, on a misted paper towel for 24-36 hours. If you don’t have the room be sure your baby tanks are set up & warm. Mist the babies often. Probably will not eat for 1st 3 days or so but you should start giving finely chopped greens as soon as you have one in the baby tank. Put only 4 or 5 to a 20 gallon tank. Watch them to be sure they are all growing. If you need anything let us know... This is the easy part, LOL. Anyway be sure your temps are 105-115 at basking spot. Be sure you have a cooler side and ut food there. Mist food so it doesn’t dry out to quick. Also, to get your babies noticing the greens I drop it from above all around them. It only takes one to start eating...I think they learn by example. Put their greens on shallow lids like pringles or margarine lids so they can see it when you put it in the tank. Chop finely BN squash, sweet potato, and yellow squash. They love that too...the color is different and sometimes I think they notice the color variation...Take care B

i wouldn’t offer crix until day 4 or 5.

 BABIES!!!!!

Thank you for that,
I now have 3 babies hatched 1 seem to take forever to come totally out of its shell and i did think he had died but he mustered the energy this morning. I have put them in a tank and set it up much as my other beardies. They already have little charachters they make me chuckle these little babies. you put your hand in and they puff up and open their mouths as if they will bite! they dont ralise their heads are only the size of my thumb nail!!!!!! if that.
I have got my baby crix in case they fancy them but will hold off for a while. Will try salad, squash etc today. Im so excited and worried for them its really is like being a mum again! (except when i had my children i did not panic!)
Still will let you know if any more arrive
Take care
Anna

 BABIES!!!!!

they wont eat until 3-5 days old.
offer a lid of veggies as soon as you put them in there tank. they wont eat it rite away. i do this and by day 8 -10 there eating salad on there own. there is no need to try and trick them by dropping salad everywhere trying to get them to eat it.
dragons arent stupid. they will relize it is food.
by the time my dragons are 8 inchs they wont even eat insects until i offer veggies.

 BABIES!!!!!

Thankyou all,
Today one of them actually ate 2 crix!! i am sure they will get there. I now have 17 babies out of a 18 egg clutch and all seem good. I am just waiting for number 18 to make an apperarance, this just so happens to be the biggest egg i had in the box!
Of all these little ones i have 1 that really stands out already he seems supa aggressive! i put him in the tank with the others and before i could pull my hand out of the tank he had jumped up grabbed my finger and was hanging on, needless to say by the time i had stopped laughing he was just being all brave on the bottom of the tank,
i have started to relax a little now about them but i do still worry about them eating, i have tiny crix that i am trying them with is it better to move the dragons somewhere different to feed them as the crix are that small its hard to get them without squishing them!! I dont want the crix to bite the babies if i leave some in the tank with them.
Thanks once again
Anna
