The "Italian" leatherback came from some Italian guy’s collection (Alessandro) and they are very healthy dragons with this codominant trait. There’s another lineage of this mutation that has some health issues. I don’t know what to call that line or who started it, but the ones from this Alessandro guy have proven to be very good dragons with this odd trait of not having the large keratin spines on the skin.
