Some advice needed  hi all. i recently bought two beardies male and female, can they have young if they are from the same blood line ie brother and sister? many thanks

Some advice needed  Yes, they can and will mate and have eggs, but I strongly advice against it because there is a good chance of their children having genetic defects. If you are keeping your dragons in the same cage, separate them as soon as possible.

Some advice needed  wyverns right if they were to have a clutch of lets say ten the odds are like 50 % would die young or have defect dont do it i have tons of bearde dragons that i breed all the time and i have never even once thought about it led alone would u wann breed with your family member

Some advice needed  Since dragons are so common, inexpensive and available to get unrelated sexes, don’t up the odds of a recessive carried gene coming out in the babies when you mate brother and sister. The actual "odds" of something occurring is not 50%, but it’s irresponsible to do this. PM me if you need a mate that’s unrelated. In extremely rare animals and no other alternative, people do incestually mate to produce more babies. But it’s out of desparation and makes for a small gene pool.
