I have a couple pregnant beardies. I did not know about them needing extra calcium. How should this be given and where do I get it? Any advice would be wonderful.

Calcium
You should be giving calcium all the time anyway, and they just need extra when they are breeding and pregnant. It comes in powder and there are so many different kinds out there. I use Rep Cal phosphorus free ultra fine powder with D3. The cheapest place I know to get it is reptiledirect.com. I’m sure you can find something at a local petstore as well, but I’ve never looked. I’m sure someone else will come along and tell you another brand. Oh and you can just sprinkle it on their greens and crickets if they eat crickets. Hope this helps.

Calcium
like blue eyes said they should get some ca routinly, especially prior to mating but now while pregnant is also important this ensures a nice tough shell for the eggs and replenishes mom of what the eggs take just like with people the babies will take what they need and leave us depleated if needed she will benefit from supp after delivery also i just pour some ca in the bag of crickets and shake just like shake and bake and they get a good white coat also sprinkle over veggies and moistened pellets i use the same as blue eyes the phos free powder you can get it from a pet store that specializes in reptiles just call around good luck
