 New Question-Infertile Eggs?

Do Bearded Dragons lay infertile eggs? My mom asked this and I have no idea. I mean are they like certain other reptiles and lay a clutch? Even if there is no male?

 New Question-Infertile Eggs?

Yes, they can lay eggs without mating and would be considered infertile, But... If your female has ever been in contact with a male beardie (if you did’nt purchase her as a baby)or if she has had play time with a male, it only takes a few seconds for them to suuccesfully mate and the female can store the sperm in her from one mating and lay fertile eggs sometime after that. I’ve heard that it’s poss. to store for 2yrs. So if in doubt and your not going to incubate freeze the eggs before throwing out because they have been known to hatch in landfills and of course they don’t survive there.

My feamle’s first batch of eggs were not fertile - the 2nd were. They looked completely different when they were hatched too. The unfertile ones were yellowish and rubbery and the next lot were big and white.

Yeh I read the Yellowish thing somewhere, but I wasn’t sure. I went ahead and put the "egg-laying area in her cage earlier today". I am still working on the pictures.

Does your beardie look pregnant or is she showing signs of wanting to lay eggs?
