 Eggs hatching soon????

Today is the 56th day of my incubation period of my first clutch of 23 eggs. I got a hovabator, and the temp fluctuates between 83.5 to 85.5. I candeled the eggs a couple nights ago, and could see lots of movement, and what appeared to be their tails. Lol I know i am becoming VERY impatient. The eggs are turning alot darker. About how many hours do the eggs start to dent in and sweat before they are about too hatch? They should be hatching pretty soon right, since they are moving around so much?
Thanks!

Check out my eggs. WHEN WILL THEY HATCH!!!??!!??!!?? lol...

And although my babies are not yet hatched, my father and I built a rack for all those babies, and Im measuring all the temperatures, and making everything is stable for the new hatchlings. On the top I got the containers for the babies, the middle section I got my tank for my holdbacks, and the ones I will basically keep, and on the bottom I got my adult cricket tank for my adult beardies. i got all Uv lights in the baby enclosures, and "high" performance basking bulbs. What do you all think???

Looks like you’re ready. They’ll hatch when they are ready lol, I know it takes forever and you’re in for a long couple of weeks. Sometimes they’ll hatch without sweating, sometimes within hours, sometimes it takes days or weeks afterwards. Until you’ve got little noses sticking out (even then it can take a full day) you’re just going to have to wait.

 Eggs hatching soon????

Thanks sean, I guess I am just gonna have to be patient. I have a few questions. When you candle the eggs you see all the veins, are they attached to lizard? they are scattered all throughtout the egg, and I am just curious where they are going to. Also, when I candled the eggs, I could see what I thought was their tails wiggling around on the side. Is this a tail. And one more question, lol. When the embryo forms, is it’s back laying down on the bottom of the egg, with the head pointing up?
Thanks!

Yep, the veins are connected to the egg sack (kind of like an umbilical cord), do not go cutting on the egg or "help" them hatch, if you cut one of the veins it will kill them. This isn’t always absorbed at the time when they hatch, that’s why it’s important to keep them in the incubator fro 24 hours on moist paper towels. It was probably their tails or spine that you saw, they can get pretty active and should be responding to the light at this point also. As far as embryo orientation, that would be ideal but they tend to do summersalts at this stage lol.

LoL, yea when I candled them, they did really respond to the light, and kind of moved around alot. My mom said that that might be stressing them out, so I don’t do it anymore, and plus it effects your conspiracy lol, which I want not to happen. lol Thanks.

I know i got alot of questions about eggs, but where do all those veins that you see in the egg go when the litle lizards hatch? What size crickets are good for hatchlings? And has anyone here heard of the exo terra 8.0 lights. Thats what I got for my adults, and baby emclosures, and from what I have heard and read on the box says tthey give a good uv output. Is this just bs, or are they actually high outputers?

Im also breeding crickets, and for my egg site, I use vermiculite. I wait about 10 hours, and then remove the container and close it, and put it in my incubator. After a few days, the eggs always get white mold growing all over the, How can I stop this? And what size crickets is good for hatchlingS?

Oh, about 1/4 to 1/3" are usually pretty good, just no larger than the space between the babies eyes is the only thing you have to worry about. You need better air flow on your cricket eggs, that or they’re too wet. I leave my tubs in for a few days and then I have basically 10 gal tanks that I dump the dirt mix into and then just spray it down daily (the tanks sit on flexwatt but a heating pad would work also). Have you read my thing on my site for cricket breeding, if not it’s www.heartmountainherps.com . I tried doing the incubator thing with the crix but it turned out to be a waste of space in my incubators and they didn’t do so well that way anyway so I abandoned it pretty quick.

 Eggs hatching soon????

lol, nope not yet. its been 65 days lol. I was just looking at my eggs, and I could see the veins through some of the absorbed areas, and on some of the ends of the eggs, I can see some sort of dentation starting to occur. I can’t stand waiting this long lol, but i gotta be patient lol.
I am very suprised that they have not hatched yet. I have not candled them lately, becauses I dont want to keep disturbing them, plus it is effected by heartmountains conspiracy, whic is if you candle them one day, then they will all decide to stay in the eggs another day lol. But Im also very suprised, because around day 50 I could see so much movement when I candled them. Anyways... Heres a pic I quickly took last night...

Don’t they look like they are ready to pop? lol
and this picture was taken at 56days. Pretty big difference...
