My Bearded is laying her eggs right now! So long story short... A friend of mine gave me his bearded dragon couple today and I knew she was gravid. She was digging around in the sand a bunch so I put about 12 inches of chemical free soil in a 20 gallon tank put a heat light on it put in my girl and she instantly started to dig. So I guess my question is what do I do next. I’ve read the breeding 101 forum but since I’ve own bearded dragons for less than 12 hours I really don’t want to screw this up. Im open to constructive criticism as long as it helps my husbandry. Please reply and Thanks for advise. Casey

My Bearded is laying her eggs right now! Casey, you need an incubator with perlite or vermiculite or a mixture of both. Moisten it good but not too wet, place the eggs in it and set it for about 83 degrees well some where around there, everyone sets it at different temps. I think you keep the humidity around 65%-70% and wait about 2 months. Just keep checking back that it don’t get too dry in there or the eggs with shrivel up..
I’m sure someone else will stop by to correct me where I may be wrong..

My Bearded is laying her eggs right now! Well.... this is what I did. I carefully uncovered the eggs, placed them in a large tubberware that I had filled half with moist perilite, I made sure I did not turn the eggs, and I rushed the eggs to Reptile City here in San Diego cause they are AWESOME and and are letting me keep my eggs in their incubator. The guys that are there are totally cool and are gonna make sure the eggs are looked after properly. Thanks alot! Casey
